Advancing STEM Innovations to Help Jeffco Students Thrive!
Thanks to support from the Gill Foundation, Jeffco Public Schools is building a K-12 STEM Pathway in the Arvada Articulation Area. As of April 2020, we received a third year of generous funding from the Gill Foundation to complete the K-12 STEM Pathway by adding labs at North Arvada Middle School and Arvada High School. These are new Creative Learning Systems STEM labs. Over the previous two years, labs were opened at Swanson, Thomson, Hackberry Hill, and Secrest Elementary Schools. These labs provide students the opportunity to engage in collaborative problem-based learning connected to circuitry, computer graphics, digital communication, mechanics and structures, scientific data and analysis, software engineering, and sustainability. By the end of high school, STEM students will be able to integrate across STEM tools and technology to complete STEM Capstone projects aligned to community and industry needs.
Jeffco Schools Foundation is raising support to expand STEM pathways across additional Jeffco schools. Please consider donating to support this incredible experience for more Jeffco learners.
